The Hayward Gallery London

La Galería Hayward

The Hayward Gallery London opened by the Queen in 1968 named after the late Sir Isaac Hayward, located in Southbank Centre on the Southbank of the Thames. The Hayward Gallery gallery houses contemporary art pieces, and cutting edge exhibits by artists such as Antony Gormley, Dan Flavin, Roy Lichtenstein, Tracey Emin. You will find the architecture to be a stark contrast to historical monuments in London as it was created in the 60’s Brutalist style a minimalist and utilitarian type architecture designed by a group of young architects, including Dennis Crompton, Warren Chalk and Ron Herron.

The most amazing feature of the gallery is the Hayward Touring organization that produces innovative and ground breaking touring exhibitions throughout Britain’s galleries and museum in collaboration with artists, independent curators, writers, and innovative creative minds.

Many visitors have stated that the Hayward Gallery is the first choice for those seeking diversity and culture. There is always a new exhibit to experience here, whether it is from a local or overseas artist so plan a trip to the gallery for a mind enriching experience.
